Trip advisor - Le Gaudin, May 2011

 

We were fortunate to be invited to join a group that had rented wonderful Le Gaudin for exclusive hire for several weeks. Our 4-night stay in the Noir et Blanc room and in this beautiful restored home was a true journey into Suisse-Normandie life -- we felt as though we were living there, not simply visiting. Le Gaudin is well situated to allow you to see all the sights of Normandy: Bayeux, the D-Day beaches, Honfleur, Deauville, Caen, and all the small towns and markets.

Our room (and bath) was huge, quiet and secluded -- with lovely balcony doors to let in light and fresh air from the front yard/drive. The common areas and kitchen were spacious and well-equipped. And Clive and Denise ensured our group had everything we needed -- including a spectacular gourmet meal one night, splendidly served. We shall be back Le Gaudin -- and I hope many others avail themselves of your beautiful rooms, gorgeous grounds, and wonderful hospitality.

 

Room Tip: Noir et blanc is at the end of the hall -- even though it is nearest the kitchen, it is quite quiet. And it has a HUGE bathroom

We were here celebrating our friends birthday and it was the perfect place.

The entire B & B was clean, cozy and inviting. The bedrooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated and all were en-suite. The grounds were so pastural and beautiful

and there was a walking trail for those who like to hike. The kitchen was large enough so that many "wanna be chefs" could get in there and prepare our meals. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you would need. The house was comfortable and we

gathered around the fireplace on several evenings with bottles of wine & stories of our

days adventures.

It is in close proximity to the Normandy beaches, Mont St. Michel, Bayeaux and much more.

It's the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Denise & Clive are the perfect hosts and operate a beautiful place. You absolutely enjoy your stay with them.

 

Room Tip: Bedroom #3 or Blue Room. It has a bathroom with bath tub & shower
