Delicious food, perfect spot

 

We spent 5 days at Le Gaudin celebrating a friend's birthday and it could not have been better. The restored farmhouse is charming with all modern conveniences. Large bedrooms furnished comfortably; modern bathrooms; wonderful common spaces with lots of places to sit and cosy up with a book; knowledgeable and helpful innkeeper; lovely outdoors with sitting areas and walking trails. Delicious food! Located about 45 mins from the Normandy beaches, and 1 hr from Mont St. Michel, it is a perfect spot!

Perfect for Hill 112

 

“It has been wonderful staying at Le Gaudin. Right in the middle of where it all happened - and Mine Host is a military historian who really knows so much about WWII and Hill 112 in particular. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone interested in the hostilities surrounding the Juno operation. We will certainly be coming back.”
