Denise Canvin

 

A Global Marketing Manager based in the UK spends her time between Milton Keynes and her beautiful home in France, which she helped to lovingly restore. Denise’s eye for colour and classical decor coupled with her ability to entertain at all levels helps to bring this house alive and make it a place of sheer relaxation. Denise confesses that years of staying in hotels around the globe inspires her to provide that something extra for guests at Le Gaudin, making the rooms relaxing and individual rather than the usual cold and sterile.

 

All furnishings have been carefully put together to give each room a character of its own and Denise confesses to still keeping an eye out for the odd little piece that will add even more character.

 

 

 

 

Clive Canvin

 

Being a talented artisan in his own right has enabled Clive to take a tired old farmhouse and turn it into something that anyone could be proud of. The once four bedroomed home, coupled with a (now the ballroom) has been turned into wonderful  accommodation boasting 5 suites plus a massive dining and sitting room, complete with a huge 13 meter chimney breast.

 

Clive is Le Gaudin’s Chef, having honed is own love of cooking while carefully observing the skills of their son Scott, a fully qualified chef who is now working in Perth, Australia. Clive’s confidence in the kitchen has grown enormously and, together with Denise, he served a feast of delights on their recent New Year 3 day break - a mouth-watering seven course meal.
